Job description

You will be part of an outstanding technical pre-sales team in our Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO), responsible for driving the success of Cisco's Security Portfolio and focusing on protecting Customer Application Environments, regardless of whether they are on-premises or in the cloud.

Your Impact

You will provide guidance and support to Security Sellers and Account teams within your territory in a pre-sales technical role. Your responsibilities include showcasing Cisco security product solutions, setting up demonstrations, explaining features and benefits, and designing and configuring products to meet customer security needs. You will build relationships with key decision-makers, positioning Cisco security solutions to align with their requirements.

As a trusted advisor, you will work with technical experts to craft architectures and configure products to meet specific customer needs. You will lead all technical aspects of pre-sales activities, position security solutions against competitors, and develop sales strategies. Your role includes:

  • Serving as a subject matter expert in Cisco security solutions
  • Guiding account teams in building solutions for customer security needs
  • Translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Articulating Cisco's architecture and services in security technologies
  • Creating, presenting, and documenting technical solutions
  • Performing technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects
  • Driving major account opportunities through technical consulting and high-level presentations
Minimum Qualifications

You are passionate about customer experience and technology, a true team player, and eager to learn. You are a self-starter, act as an industry authority, and aim to develop long-term customer relationships. Minimum qualifications include:

  • 4+ years of technical sales or pre-sales experience with a successful quota record
  • 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or related fields
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven success in managing and winning high-value security projects
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems, IP networking, and network security
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial awareness and excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Cisco security technologies and programming languages such as UNIX shell, Perl, or C
