Qualifications

• Proven experience in security systems design or security solutions engineering.
• Hands-on knowledge of access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems.
• Ability to translate risk assessments into technical specifications.
• Familiarity with BS 9999, ISO 27000 series, and ISA/IEC 62443.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NSI or SSAIB accreditation or equivalent security industry qualification (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Translate Risk Assessment Documents into detailed technical specifications for use by downstream design teams.
• Develop and maintain Security Solutions Requirements documentation in line with corporate templates, models, and frameworks.
• Review tendered security project designs to ensure alignment with Corporate Security Strategy and global model direction.
• Liaise with Security Operations, Projects, and IT teams to secure design approvals and ensure solutions remain fit for purpose.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant corporate, global, and industry architecture standards.
• Provide technical guidance on security and fire management applications, access control, CCTV, intruder alarm systems, and digital communication technologies.

As a Security Solutions Design Engineer, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering corporate security systems across a wide estate, producing detailed design specifications and solutions requirements documentation to satisfy both local and global standards working closely with Security Operations, Projects, and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment and approval at every stage. Experience and Certifications required:

• Proven experience in security systems design or security solutions engineering, ideally within a corporate or critical infrastructure environment.
• Hands‑on knowledge of access control, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems, with familiarity with platforms such as Gallagher Security Systems or similar.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment processes and the ability to translate findings into clear technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of relevant standards including BS 9999, ISO 27000 series, and ISA/IEC 62443.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NSI or SSAIB accreditation, or equivalent security industry qualification (desirable).
