Job description

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Security (Access Control) Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

The technician will lead teams or crews in service or installation tasks, implementing and performing service for new equipment installation, repairs, and system upgrades. The role supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Pay Range: $24-27 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation and service of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and related equipment. Install, configure, and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and repair equipment and devices as needed.
• Upgrade systems to enhance functionality and usability.
• Program systems to add cameras, access control devices, and alarm systems as required.
• Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Read and interpret drawings and prints for correct equipment placement.
• Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from field to reporting systems.
• Lead team members, delegate tasks, and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Complete daily tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and commitment.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Experience with IP-based systems.
• Knowledge of Genetec, Lenel, and Avigilon systems is a plus.
