Who are we?

CSS Service Solution Architects (SSAs) are enhanced support and managed services presales subject matter experts. CSS SSAs work closely with the CSS sales teams during sales opportunities, interacting at senior levels within existing and new Oracle customers.

Using their deep experience of IT support and managed services, they capture customer requirements, explore potential options, and build compelling service propositions.

The SSAs help Oracle’s customers maximize their investments in Oracle Cloud (OCI and SaaS), on-premise, and hybrid environments, to innovate faster and accelerate business success.

The SSAs focus on service solutions for Oracle technologies, including advanced and complex custom requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, foster, and define Oracle CSS service solutions for specific customer opportunities and assist in sales alongside the CSS sales representative.
  • Collaborate with customers, CSS management, and xLoB account teams to understand business and IT strategies, identify large-scale CSS opportunities, and translate customer needs into CSS service solutions.
  • Build and lead virtual teams.
  • Communicate effectively with customers at CxO level.
  • Build customer loyalty by establishing a trusted advisor relationship.
  • Proactively build and leverage a broad network across Oracle xLoBs.
  • Work internally and externally to ensure effective service solution design and development.
  • Drive proposals, presentations, and communication efforts.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the services marketplace.
  • Work with CSS delivery teams throughout the sales cycle.
  • Navigate Oracle tools and processes to support CSS sales.
  • Share knowledge with deal teams, account teams, delivery, and the CSS community.

Experience:

  • 7 to 10 years in IT services, including roles within multiple external IT service providers.
  • Broad understanding of enterprise applications and IT infrastructures, including cloud environments and Oracle technologies.
  • Extensive experience in a services presales role within an IT services provider.
  • Experience in IT services, operations, and management, including managed services/outsourcing.
  • Large-scale IT project and program management experience, including transformations and migrations.
  • Experience in commercial and contract management, including pricing and custom contracting for complex services.
  • Skills in sales and complex deal negotiation.
  • Proven ability to architect, implement, and deliver complex service solutions for mission-critical environments.
  • Experience consulting with C-level executives and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Ability to construct and deliver compelling presentations to large audiences and executive stakeholders.
