Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is seeking an inspiring Security Manager to lead the security team across our parks, ensuring a safe and welcoming guest experience. You will recruit, train, and develop the team, oversee daily security operations, and drive a positive security culture while managing budgets and rotas.

You will also handle investigations, liaise with authorities, monitor CCTV systems, and participate in regional meetings to promote security awareness and continuous improvement across the parks.

Responsibilities

• Plan resource levels to ensure adequate security for the park.
• Utilise security team to patrol and deter incidents.
• Ensure compliance with security instructions and assignments.
• Manage incidents with proper escalation and reporting.
• Oversee security technology and CCTV systems.
• Conduct investigations and prepare detailed statements and reports.
• Review security data using on-park systems.
• Identify and manage security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Liaise with local enforcement for inspections/investigations.
• Attend management meetings to promote security awareness.
• Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular 1:1s and team briefings to keep the team engaged.

Job description

We're looking for an inspiring Security Manager to lead our dedicated security team and help create an exceptional, safe experience for every guest who visits our park. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee day-to-day security operations, ensuring our environment is welcoming, secure, and running smoothly. You'll take the lead in recruiting, training, and developing your team - empowering them to deliver outstanding service and support across the park. What you will be doing...

• Planning resource levels to ensure the park has the required level of security.
• Utilising Security team members to effectively patrol the park, providing a deterrent and preventing situations where necessary.
• Ensuring compliance with security assignment instructions.
• Managing incidents and situations, ensuring correct escalation, and reporting.
• Managing security technology and CCTV.
• Carrying out full and unbiased investigations, providing detailed statements and reports, ensuring that all security activity has been recorded appropriately.
• Using the on-park systems to review security Data.
• Identifying and managing security vulnerabilities and risks to the park.
• Liaising with local enforcement authorities for routine inspections and investigations.
• Attending Management and Regional Meetings to promote security awareness to colleagues.
• Fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, trust and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular 1:1s and team briefings to ensure your team are engaged and working efficiently and effectively.
• Experience managing a team.
• Current SIA license (Minimum Door Supervision) & full clean UK driving licence (Manual Car)
• Excellent customer service skills & confident to communicate and influence.
• Ability to drive positive security culture within a team, and effectively manage and develop a team.
• Commercial awareness, able to manage a budget and rota.
• Able to manage a high pressure, fast paced work environment.
