Job description

As a Security Receptionist at Merville Barracks, Circular Road South, Colchester, Essex CO2 7UT, your role is vital in making sure that we provide a safe and secure environment for our clients. You'll be tasked with verifying and directing visitors.

What you’ll do:

1. Greet staff and visitors and ensure they adhere to the required security identification and protocols for the site/area.
2. Monitor CCTV, Access Control and other protective systems.
3. Act as a first line response to activations & incidents or fault reporting.
4. Log calls, relay messages and provide guidance and advice to visitors, clients, contractors and staff.
5. Deliver and maintain customer service at all times, ensuring client satisfaction.
6. Maintain a high standard of a well-kept reception/entry area to ensure visitors' journey starts with a positive impression.

What you bring:

1. Ability to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authorities.
2. Standard SIA license.
3. Excellent communication and awareness skills.
4. Experience in working in a similar role.
5. Knowledge of security techniques and site and local emergency procedures.

Package Description: A role with perks and purpose locked in.

40 hours per week, Monday - Sunday Rolling rota 12 hour shifts 06:30 to 18:30 & 18:30 to 06:30. £11.69 per hour. Free Car parking.
