As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout your assigned area. By remaining visible and approachable, you will help to deter potential security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do
  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities
  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points for authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with questions and directions related to site-specific access procedures.
  • Monitor and operate access control systems and/or equipment to help deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe for unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal management to carry out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as needed.

Minimum Requirements
  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
