Job summary

SP Energy Networks is seeking a Security Operations Lead for an initial 12-month contract, based in Glasgow with a hybrid work pattern (3 days in the office). The role covers security incident detection, response, and improvements across both OT and IT environments, aligned with SPEN's cyber security transformation programme.

You will coordinate across in-house and outsourced SOC teams, configure SIEM tools, oversee post-incident reviews, and ensure compliance with policy and SLAs while driving

Qualifications

• Experience in security operations across IT/OT environments.
• Familiarity with security incident detection and response.
• Awareness of regulatory requirements impacting IT/OT security in energy utilities.
• Academic qualification (degree or diploma) required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Security Operations Manager in BAU activities.
• Implement and maintain 3rd line security incident management and escalation processes.
• Design and manage security measures for information systems and networks.
• Identify improvements for OT and IT security from a cyber perspective.
• Ensure incident identification, assessment, reporting and mitigation.
