Job summary

The University of Aberdeen is seeking a Security Operations Manager within Estates and Commercial Services to oversee the university security team and deliver effective security operations across campus buildings.

You will manage resources, operate the Security Control Room, CCTV and alarm systems, respond to incidents, deliver training, and support Martyn's Law compliance and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing and supervising a security or similar team.
• Pro-active customer service and strong written and communication skills.
• Knowledge of CCTV and alarm systems desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required due to site mobility.
• Martyn's Law ( Terrorism Prevention ) knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the university security team and daily security operations.
• Oversee the Security Control Room and its CCTV/alarm monitoring systems.
• Respond to incidents and liaise with university and emergency services as required.
• Deliver health and safety training and security-related training within the team.
