Security Operations Engineer
London

Role Overview

The main focus of this role is to monitor and respond to security incidents, assess vulnerabilities, and ensure data protection compliance. You will help establish controls and systems to safeguard employee and customer data, as well as Freetrade’s assets.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure DLP practices are correctly operating to protect data.
2. Manage endpoint security for employee devices.
3. Utilize SIEM systems to identify and respond to security incidents.
4. Monitor security systems for unusual activities and threats.
5. Implement and verify security controls.
6. Assess vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation efforts.
7. Manage security tools and automate security testing and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Understanding of endpoint security, DLP tools, network security, and security tools like SIEM, WAF, and identity management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• 3-5 years of experience in security operations, incident response, and threat analysis.
