Job summary

TRM-International in London is seeking a Cyber Security Operations Engineer with 2+ years of experience to monitor, investigate, and respond to security events, and to work with infrastructure and software teams to strengthen protections across our trading platforms.

You will help manage security monitoring, perform incident response, and contribute to vulnerability management, automation, and documentation in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in a numerate discipline is required
• Minimum 2+ years in Security Operations, Cyber Security, SOC, or Infrastructure Security
• Experience with Linux-based environments and security hardening

About the Role

As a Cyber Security Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting the firm's infrastructure, systems, and data. You will monitor, investigate, and respond to security events while working closely with infrastructure and software engineering teams to continuously improve security controls and processes.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a numerate discipline
• 2+ years of experience in Security Operations, Cyber Security, SOC, or Infrastructure Security roles

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of networking fundamentals including firewalls
• WAF rules configuration
• Experience working with SIEM and security monitoring platforms
• Understanding of common cyber threats, attack techniques, and mitigation strategies
• Experience investigating and responding to security incidents
• Familiarity with vulnerability management and remediation processes
• Scripting experience with Ansible or Python
• Knowledge of authentication, access control, and security hardening principles
• Experience with cloud technologies is advantageous
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
