Security Operations Co-ordinator
Salary £50k + £6k Car Allowance, Based Bristol

This is an exceptional opportunity to work for our client, a global defence tech organisation. They seek an experienced Security Operations Co-ordinator to collaborate with the company Protective Security Lead, to co-ordinate and manage the organisation’s interactions with law enforcement agencies to ensure successful prosecution outcomes and be responsible for the protective security of the company’s people, places, assets, and events.

The Role:
  • Support in the collection, preparation, and submission of evidence to maximise successful criminal justice outcomes.
  • Consult with Officers in Charge of cases and Witness Service to ensure visibility of company court commitments.
  • Attend court and provide witness evidence to support effective criminal proceedings.
  • Consult with law enforcement agencies to ensure the effective sharing of information/ intelligence to protect the company and individuals.
  • Be part of the company Crisis Response Team, attending incidents to assist in their management.
  • Prepare and submit reports, making recommendations as necessary, to facilitate effective decision making and threat mitigation. Create and maintain documentation in line with the requirements of the role.
  • Manage the planning, coordination, and delivery of event security across the business in conjunction with event organisers and marketing team.
  • Manage the planning, coordination and delivery of the company travel security operation including providing travel security risk assessments and advice, consulting with international colleagues as required.
  • Conduct physical security risk assessments/surveys to protect the company and individuals.
  • Drawing on a range of information and intelligence sources, create and deliver threat briefs across company and its subsidiary sites to help ensure the safety and security of employees and premises.
  • Be the Firearms, Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives (FOME) and items Attractive to Criminal and Terrorist Organisations (ACTO) liaison officer for the company.
The Person:
  • Previous experience in a similar role with experience working in Security Operations.
  • Experience of managing investigations effectively and ethically to relevant standards. Experience identifying security vulnerabilities and implementing strategies to mitigate risk for premises and events.
  • A developed knowledge and understanding of UK criminal law and criminal justice standards.
  • Skilled in Communication and Engagement.
  • Consistently produces and delivers high quality, accurate work.
  • Ability to organise and plan own workload.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate data and information critically objectively, rigorously.
  • Ability to influence, manage situations, and diffuse conflict.
  • Eligible to gain Security Clearance: SC
  • In line with COMPANY’s Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity & eligibility to work in the UK.
