Job summary

Warehousing Solutions Ltd seeks a Security Officer to start this month at Manchester Airport. Permanent, with day, night and weekend shifts available. A £3,000 joining bonus is paid in July. You can choose to work days or nights plus weekends. Day shifts run 8 am–6 pm or 8 am–8 pm (£19.50/hr).

Night shifts 8 pm–8 am (£22.50/hr). Weekends/overtime from £25.50/hr. 45–60 hours weekly, weekly pay. Key responsibilities include patrolling and securing, monitoring CCTV, controlling access, responding

Qualifications

• Observational skills to notice potential threats or suspicious behaviour.
• Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, for reporting and interacting with others.
• Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions.
• Ability to de-escalate tense situations and find peaceful solutions.
• Familiarity with security equipment, surveillance systems, and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling and securing buildings, perimeters, and access points.
• Monitoring CCTV cameras and other security systems for threats or unusual activity.
• Controlling access by checking IDs, logging entries/exits, and restricting zone access.
• Responding to alarms, investigating incidents, and taking appropriate safety actions.
• Enforcing security regulations and procedures and resolving disturbances.
• Reporting and documenting incidents and communicating irregularities to relevant personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
