Job summary

Warehousingsolutions is recruiting for a Security Officer at Luton Airport. Permanent position with day, night and weekend shifts available. A £3,000 joining bonus is paid in July. You can choose to work days or nights plus weekends; day shifts run 8 am–6 pm or 8 am–8 pm (£19.50/hour).

Night shifts run 8 pm–8 am (£22.50/hour). Weekends and overtime paid at £25.50/hour. Weekly pay every Friday with 45–60 hours per week guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Observational skills to notice threats or suspicious behavior.
• Clear, effective communication for reporting and interaction.
• Ability to assess situations quickly and make sound decisions.
• De-escalation of tense situations and peaceful resolutions.
• Familiarity with security equipment and basic computer apps.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling and securing buildings, perimeters, and access points.
• Monitoring CCTV and security systems for threats or unusual activity.
• Controlling access by checking IDs and logging entries/exits.
• Responding to incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Enforcing security policies and resolving disturbances.
• Reporting incidents and documenting irregularities to appropriate personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrolling and Securing: Regularly inspecting buildings, perimeters, and access points to ensure they are secure and free from hazards.
• Monitoring Surveillance Systems: Observing CCTV cameras and other security systems to identify and respond to potential threats or unusual activity.
• Controlling Access: Checking identification, logging entries and exits, and regulating access to restricted areas.
• Responding to Incidents: Investigating alarms, handling emergencies, and taking appropriate action to address safety or security concerns.
• Enforcing Regulations: Ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures, and resolving conflicts or disturbances.
• Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining logs, writing incident reports, and communicating any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
