JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Security Officer with previous experience working as a security guard, who is reliable and professional with good communication and time-management skills.

As the Security Officer, you will be responsible for site security, including opening and closing the site, monitoring CCTV systems, performing site patrols, and being the first point of contact for visitors.

You will also perform checks on emergency equipment such as fire alarms, intruder alarms, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting, recording the results.

DUTIES

  • Monitor site security using 24-hour video recording and regular patrols
  • Be the first contact for contractors and visitors, directing calls appropriately
  • Open and close the site, ensuring all safety and security measures are in place
  • Inspect the site regularly, checking perimeter fencing, exterior lighting, and cleanliness
  • Maintain and update site plans for emergency and contractor access
  • Respond to alarm system failures by contacting relevant personnel and remaining on site until resolved
  • Understand and operate fire and intruder alarm systems and gate mechanisms

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in security roles or related fields; training provided if not
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Reliable and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
