Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Relief Security Officer for Crewkerne, Yeovil and surrounding areas. This part-time role requires a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, with shifts across days, nights and weekends.

You will provide a visible security presence, follow site AI instructions, and maintain professional conduct while ensuring public and staff safety. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision - CCTV PSS preferred).
• Previous security experience is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle are essential.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, confident approach under pressure.
• Flexibility to cover days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and vigilant security presence across client sites.
• Follow site-specific Assignment Instructions (AI's) and ensure full compliance.
• Maintain a high standard of personal and professional conduct.
• Ensure the safety of the public and staff by monitoring for risks and hazards.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Accurately document incidents and ensure reporting procedures are followed.
• Make timely check calls and emergency contacts as required.
• Attend and complete all required training and development programmes.

The Role: Relief Security Officer – Crewkerne and Yeovil Area

We're looking for a professional, reliable, and flexible Relief Security Officer to join our team in Crewkerne, Yeovil and surrounding areas. This role requires someone who can cover a variety of shifts and locations, so access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence is essential.
