Job summary

ICTS Ltd is seeking a Security Officer based at Southampton Airport with duties including baggage and body searches, access control, and CCTV monitoring. You will operate security systems and patrol 24/7, with travel to other locations as required, and you must meet UK vetting and training standards.

Excellent English, a valid driving licence, and a 5-year UK work history are essential, along with clearance checks. Salary starts at £14.24 rising to £14.87 after probation.

Job description

LOCATION - Based at Southampton Airport, may be sent to other locations POSITION - Security Officer - Male & Female REPORTING TO - Security Supervisors HOURS OF WORK - As per operational and client requirements RATE OF PAY - £14.24 increased to £14.87 after probation period.

Principal accountabilities

• Perform a range of security-based tasks including, but not restricted to, Central search, HBS Baggage system, body searches, baggage searches, access control including search of vehicles, x‑ray screening, aircraft guarding, passenger interviewing, patrols, CCTV and document checking.
• Operational will require you to be based at Southampton but will be required at other locations as and when required, travel expenses and Pier Diems paid.
• Use of security industry approved systems, such as 3d Xrays, ETD machines, and hand‑held tablets.
• Performance and Professional Standards
• Achieve and maintain full compliance with Regulator, Airport, and ICTS requirements.
• Maintain the required professional standards of operation, in accordance with Company requirements.
• To act within the authorities set out by Management and the company's working procedures.
• To carry out any other duties as directed by Security Team Managers.
• Promote ICTS (UK) & Ireland Ltd positively.

Customer Service

• Accountable for delivering the highest possible standard of customer service, whilst meeting all regulatory requirements.

Schedule

• Permanent Contract
• Shift patterns commencing 5am onwards
• Early shift, Mid shift, Back shifts, Night shifts and Bank holidays covering 24hr operations/365 days per year.
