What you'll be doing
Operating the Security Office in the absence of the Security Office Administrator,
Monitoring and operating security systems in the Control Room,
Support the transport of cyclists across the River Crossing in the absence of the Cycle
Transport Security Operative,
Patrol entire Dartford estate on foot and in a vehicle and occasionally other Depots,
Responding to all security and emergency related incidents,
Support the Security Office Administrator to manage the production and issue/retrieve all ID cards and access control cards to Staff and Contractors,
Issue and retrieve all keys relating to the Dartford Estate,
Support the Security Office Administrator to process all Contractor permits and check
Contractor personnel security records through Employers where necessary,
Accurately maintain security procedure audit trails,
Maintain full confidentiality of sensitive business issues,
Ensure all security policies and procedures are robustly applied,
Provide a secure and safe environment for Staff, Contractors and Visitors to work and visit,
Provide cover for Security Operative colleagues whilst they are on annual leave
Provide incident reports and patrol as and when required,
Support the Security Office Administrator to maintain staff vehicle database and update ANPR system accordingly,
Any other duties, commensurate with the position, as required by the Security Manager, Security Office Administrator or Team Leader
Accurately apply the organisations Security Principles at all times
Process Abnormal Loads through the Kent Marshalling Area (KMA) - including and receiving payments
Process all Dangerous Goods vehicles that pass through the KMA and arrange escort of vehicles as required
Process Visitors to site out of hours when reception closed.

Who we're looking for
Customer Service experience desirable.
Previous security experience desirable.
Knowledge of a specific security discipline desirable
First Aid and Fire Warden experience desirable or be willing to attain.

Willingness to learn and attend courses,
Wear Connect Plus corporate uniform,
Hold a full UK Driving Licence and be able to drive a 4x4 Patrol Vehicle in all conditions
