Job summary

Ward Security is seeking a professional Security Officer for a busy Covent Garden site in Central London. You will help keep people and premises safe, patrol the site, support staff and visitors, and maintain a visible security presence.

Role involves general security duties, loading bay support when required, and reporting incidents clearly. The position requires an SIA Licence, First Aid and Fire Marshal qualifications, and a mix of day and night shifts with a £16.50 per hour pay rate.

Responsibilities

• Security Patrols: Carry out regular internal and external patrols to identify security risks, hazards and issues.
• General Security: Monitor access and egress, check passes and respond to security concerns.
• Safety and Emergency Response: Support emergency procedures, assist evacuations and report hazards.
• CCTV and Alarm Monitoring: Monitor security systems and report faults or suspicious activity.
• Customer Service: Assist staff, visitors and contractors professionally and provide information.
• Loading Bay Support: Provide occasional assistance with loading bay and logistics duties when required.

Join Ward Security as a Security Officer near one of our sites in Covent Garden, where you’ll play an important role in maintaining site security, supporting staff and visitors, and ensuring the building remains safe and secure. You’ll primarily focus on general security duties, with occasional support for loading bay and logistics operations when required.

Location: Central London, WC2E

Nearest tube: Covent Garden

Pay Rate: £16.50 per hour

Shift Pattern: A mixture of day and night shifts, 6 on 3 off.

Requirement: Valid SIA Licence, First Aid and Fire Marshal qualifications

About the Role

• CCTV and Alarm Monitoring: Monitor security systems as required and report faults or suspicious activity.

• Loading Bay Support: Provide occasional assistance with loading bay and logistics duties when operationally required.
