Job Title: Security Officer (Full-Time)
Location: Kent, CT16 1
Pay Rate: 12.21 per hour
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

Shift Pattern:

  • Initial Phase: 12-hour shifts (24/7 cover while site is under construction)

  • Go-Live Phase (from August 2025):
    Monday Friday:

    • 06:0009:00

    • 16:0021:00

About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and professional Security Officer to join our team in Kent. This is a unique opportunity to support a site through its transformation from construction to a fully operational museum and community hub.

You'll start with manned guarding duties and transition to a corporate security/front-of-house role once the site goes live.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols and ensure the site is secure

  • Monitor CCTV and respond to alarms

  • Manage access control and issue ID passes

  • Unlock/lock the premises

  • Deliver excellent front-of-house service

  • Support with key management and visitor access

  • Act as a First Aid responder (training can be provided)

  • Provide outstanding customer service to staff and community members

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid SIA licence (Essential)

  • Enhanced DBS (Desirable we can process this for you)

  • Good knowledge of safeguarding (Desirable training provided)

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Confident, professional, and proactive approach

  • Basic IT/computer skills
