Working various shifts: 5 days out of 7 (days and nights)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Security Officers to join our Soft Services Team.

You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high-quality guarding and excellent customer service.

We require Officers to be SIA licensed – Security Guarding/Door Supervision.

The Security Officer is required to provide an efficient, effective, and professional security service.

Duties as a Security Officer

• Able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team with a proactive approach towards duties.
• Able to achieve high standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and strive for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with the client and all service providers at the Shopping Centre.
• Adapt to new duties as the contract evolves.
• Prevent unauthorised access while remaining professional.
• Respond calmly and professionally to fire alarm activations.
• Conduct regular patrols as per the site’s instructions.
• Report patrol observations or defects to the Security Manager and document appropriately.
• Provide exceptional customer service to members of the public and visitors needing assistance.
• Check vulnerable points of the Shopping Centre and ensure all exits are secure and unobstructed.
• Report suspicious behaviour and monitor for loitering around the Shopping Centre.
• Prevent and detect fire, water leaks, and safety hazards.
• Represent the Shopping Centre positively as an ambassador.
• Participate in and promote the Centre’s Health and Safety Management System.

Job requirements as a Security Officer

• SIA Door Supervisor Licence required.
• SIA CCTV Licence required.
• Security experience in retail or public spaces is preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods in all weather conditions.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good command of English and IT skills.
• Reliable, confident, and committed.
• Flexible approach to duties and events.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Calm personality capable of handling difficult situations.
• Ability to undertake all specific duties confidently.
• Provide necessary documentation and vetting information.
• First Aid qualification is a bonus.
