Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking security-minded professionals to join our DWP project security teams across the United Kingdom. This role offers an hourly rate of £13.45 and the opportunity to contribute to safe, welcoming environments for staff and visitors.

You will patrol premises, respond to emergencies, liaise with local police and emergency services, and help ensure compliance with Mitie and DWP security policies. A valid DS licence and a full UK driving licence are required.

Job Overview

Flexibility to travel, as this role will cover various DWP sites within the region Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Diss, Thetford, North Walsham, Cromer, Dereham

Full UK driving licence required.

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for the DWP staff, visitors, and property.

Security and Health & Safety

• Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
• Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
• Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
• To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
• Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
• Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
• To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
