Job summary

Warehousingsolutions in Liverpool is seeking a Security Officer to start next week. Permanent role with day, night and weekend shifts available. Joining bonus £3,000 paid in September. You can choose to work days or nights plus weekends.

Day shifts 8am-6pm or 8am-8pm at £19.50 per hour; Night shifts 8pm-8am at £22.50 per hour; Weekends and overtime £25.50 per hour. Weekly pay every Friday. 45-60 hours per week guaranteed. Part-time option available 20 hours per week (2 shifts x 10 hours).

Qualifications

• Observational skills to notice potential threats or suspicious behaviour.
• Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, for reporting and interaction with others.
• Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions.
• Ability to de-escalate tense situations and find peaceful solutions.
• Familiarity with security equipment, surveillance systems, and basic computer applications.
• Ability to patrol, stand for extended periods, and potentially handle physical situations.
• Maintain a calm, courteous, and reassuring presence.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling and securing: Regularly inspecting buildings, perimeters, and access points to ensure they are secure and free from hazards.
• Monitoring surveillance systems: Observing CCTV cameras and other security systems to identify and respond to potential threats or unusual activity.
• Controlling access: Checking identification, logging entries and exits, and regulating access to restricted areas.
• Responding to incidents: Investigating alarms, handling emergencies, and taking appropriate action to address safety or security concerns.
• Enforcing regulations: Ensuring compliance with security policies and procedures, and resolving conflicts or disturbances.
• Reporting and documentation: Maintaining logs, writing incident reports, and communicating any irregularities to the appropriate personnel.
