Job description

The M25 is one of our flagship projects in the UK! It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network, with over 200,000 vehicles per day, and is a critical infrastructure asset for personal and freight transport into and around London. The network includes around 180 structures and 5 tunnels, requiring high performance, constant improvement, and repairs to ensure smooth operation.

We have formed a joint venture called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract. We are seeking a Security Officer to join the security team, undertaking duties within the security office, patrols, and marshalling.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and operate security CCTV systems.
  • Support the transport of cyclists across the River Crossing.
  • Patrol and audit the network and depots on foot and in a vehicle.
  • Respond to all security-related incidents.
  • Manage the issue of keys and contractor permits.
  • Maintain security procedure audit trails accurately.
  • Ensure all security policies and procedures are robustly applied.
  • Support the Security Office Administrator.
  • Marshal all vehicles entering the Kent Marshalling Area (KMA).
  • Process Dangerous Goods Vehicles.
  • Liaise with DVSA and emergency services.
  • Monitor the Forward Tanker bay.
  • Prepare KMA as Emergency Services RVP if required.
  • Follow and act on directions from the Control Room Manager regarding vehicle movements from the KMA.

Profile

Qualifications & Skills required:

  • Strong customer service experience
  • Full valid driving license
  • Administrative experience
  • Ideally prior experience in a security officer role

Working arrangements:

Shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days rest
