A leading security service provider in Liverpool is seeking a Security Officer to protect customer property and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards. Candidates must have prior security experience and a valid SIA license. Responsibilities include conducting regular checks, reporting incidents, and adhering to assignment instructions. Opportunities for ongoing training and development will be provided.
Job Overview
- To protect our customer's property, people, and assets by providing security services in accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AIs) and any updates.
- To deliver results that meet or exceed the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring full responsibility and accountability to help retain the contract.
- To undertake additional training for continuous self-development.
Main Duties
Operations
- To ensure compliance with all policies, legal, and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK Law and guidance bodies.
- To complete all tasks and duties on site as defined in the published Assignment Instructions, and to review these instructions regularly to suggest improvements.
- To be compliant with industry and statutory legislation, including holding a front-line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision, and a CCTV PSS SIA Licence. Additional contractual courses may be required.
- To adhere to legal obligations and safety requirements.
- To follow instructions and procedures without unnecessary challenge.
- To work systematically, methodically, and in an organized manner.
Training
- To complete all required competency training satisfactorily.
- To undertake additional training for self-development as directed.
- To use technology for achieving objectives and professional growth.
- To ensure licences are renewed at least 16 weeks before expiry.
Security and Health & Safety
- To report any hazards or safety concerns immediately.
- To remain alert to threats and take appropriate actions to prevent disruption or damage.
- To maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
- To document incidents accurately and promptly.
- To adhere to schedules, including check calls as per the Assignment Instructions.
- To report incidents to emergency services and communication centres.
What we are looking for
- Previous security experience.
- Valid SIA license.
- SC clearance is desirable.
