NTT Global Data Centers is seeking a Security Officer for a data centre in Hemel Hempstead. You will report to the Security Manager and help protect people, property, and assets across the site.

The role requires patrolling, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting facilities, and enforcing policy and safety procedures. The role operates on a 4 on/4 off rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

Competenze

• Hold a valid Front-Line SIA Licence.
• Willing to work a 12 hour rolling shift pattern, 4 on/4 off, including weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Be prepared to undergo BS7858:2019 security checks.

Mansioni

• Manage access control to ensure only authorised personnel enter the building or designated areas.
• Issue passes and collect relevant ID.
• Monitor CCTV according to procedures.
• Assist with fire drills and alarms.
• Ensure Health and Safety rules are followed at all times.

Reporting to the Security Manager, you will be part of our team of Security Officers for one of our Data Center in Hemel Hempstead, responsible for ensuring the security of our Data Center sites, Clients, Visitors and NTT GDC EMEA colleagues by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. You will prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policy and procedures to ensure the security of the facility and the safety of all visitors and employees.

You will be required to work on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, days and nights including weekends. Each shift is 12 hours long. The Day shift is from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm and the night shift is from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing access control procedures to ensure only authorized personnel are permitted into the building or other specific areas
• Issue passes and collecting relevant ID
• Monitor of CCTV
• Assist in fire drills and alarms
• Ensuring Health and Safety rules are always adhered to
• Assist the Security Manager/Deputy Manager where applicable
• Any other activities reasonably required for the day-to-day operation of the Company

Your Profile

• Hold a valid Front-Line SIA Licence
• If required, be able to work on a 12 hour rolling shift rota, 4 days and 4 nights including week-ends and public holidays,
• Communicate effectively at all levels and possess good relationship building skills
• Possess initiative with an inquisitive nature, good observations skills, unafraid to ask appropriate questions
• To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
