Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly reliable SIA licensed Security Officer to protect staff and visitors on site in Exeter. You will manage access control, conduct inductions, and perform scheduled patrols while adhering to Assignment Instructions and escalation procedures.

The role involves night shifts averaging 42 hours per week with a 4 on, 4 off pattern starting at 19:00. Competitive benefits are provided by a Real Living Wage Foundation partner.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License is essential.
• A valid SIA CCTV License is desirable.
• Confidence to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide a secure and safe environment on site through access control and site inductions.
• Carry out planned and ad-hoc site patrols and other duties as directed.
• Follow escalation and communication procedures with Site Management and emergency services when needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, visitors and Corps colleagues.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff & visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned & ad-hoc site patrols together with other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and the emergency services.

You will be working an average of 42 hours per week covering nights. Shift pattern will be: 4 on, 4 off starting at 1900.
