Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a reliable Security Officer for the Rolls-Royce contract in Derby. The role requires working 12-hour day shifts, five days a week (Mon-Fri) at the Rolls-Royce site in Derby, with a pay rate of £13.12 per hour.

Pay Rate: £13.12 per hour

Shifts: 12-hour day shifts, 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

We are seeking reliable and professional Security Officer to join our Rolls-Royce contract in Derby. Applicants must be committed to working 12 hours shifts, days Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

• Conduct access control, pass, and parking permit checks.


• Sign in visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers.


• Maintain compliance with site procedures, company policies, and relevant legislation.


• Complete all duties in accordance with Assignment Instructions (AI's).


• Identify and recommend improvements to operational processes where appropriate.


• Ensure compliance with SIA licensing requirements and all mandatory contract training.


• Follow instructions and procedures professionally and consistently.


• Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Training & Development

• Complete all mandatory training and competency assessments.


• Participate in additional training as required.


• Maintain and develop professional knowledge and skills.


• Ensure SIA licences are renewed at least 16 weeks before expiry.

Security, Safety & Incident Management

• Report all Health & Safety concerns and potential hazards immediately.


• Remain vigilant to security threats and operational risks.


• Use initiative and elevate concerns appropriately.


• Maintain professional conduct when dealing with challenging situations.


• Complete accurate incident reports and notebook entries.


• Conduct scheduled check calls as required.


• Notify emergency services and the Communication Centre of incidents when necessary.

Essential Requirements

• Previous security experience.


• Valid SIA Security Guarding or Door Supervision Licence.
