Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is recruiting a security officer for BBC Northern Ireland, Radio Foyle, Derry. You will patrol, control access, and respond to incidents during day and night shifts.

Join a supportive team with on-site training and benefits. The role requires a valid SIA licence, strong customer service, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.

Qualifications

• Front of house experience for security or reception roles.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and solve problems under pressure.
• Good written and verbal reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
• Oversee perimeter access and monitor staff, tenants, and visitors.
• Undertake patrolling, searching and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access and egress and respond to breaches.
• Maintain logs and adhere to health & safety protocols.
• Incident management and coordination with team.

About The Role:

• Delivering excellent customer service
• Good level of concentration and coordinating
• Good communication skills and effective report writing capabilities.
• Physical protection of the premises from any external or internal threats and preservation of life
• Prevention of loss of assets, critical technology, sensitive information, or reputational damage
• Thorough knowledge of the client to minimise impact to business areas, elevate where appropriate and understanding of critical systems.
• Oversee perimeter access through reception for staff, tenants, contractors, and visitors.
