Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Relief Security Officer in Cowes. You will provide security coverage across multiple sites, maintain a visible security presence, and support staff, visitors and contractors with professional conduct.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, willingness to obtain SC clearance, and a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends. Uniform and training are provided, with 36-hour contracted hours and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Site Security: Maintain a strong security presence at different locations, protecting premises, staff and assets.
• Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct foot/vehicle patrols, monitor CCTV, prevent unauthorized access.
• Access Control: Manage entry points, check IDs, enforce procedures.
• Incident Response: Respond to security breaches, medical emergencies, fires, suspicious activity.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report security concerns per procedures.
• Equipment & Alarm Monitoring: Check security equipment and monitor alarms.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Assist staff, visitors and contractors and enforce policies.
• Professional Conduct: Represent the company professionally and maintain grooming standards.

What is a Relief Security Officer?

As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide security coverage, stepping in to cover shifts when required. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to work in different environments, ensuring the highest security standards are met at all times.

Your Role:

• Site Security: Maintain a strong security presence at different locations, ensuring premises, staff, and assets remain protected.
• Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols, monitor CCTV systems, and prevent unauthorized access.
• Access Control: Manage entry and exit points, check identification, and enforce security procedures.
• Incident Response: React promptly to security breaches, medical emergencies, fire alarms, and suspicious activities.
• Incident Reporting: Document and report any security concerns, threats, or breaches in line with company procedures.
• Equipment & Alarm Monitoring: Perform routine checks on security equipment and monitor alarms to ensure functionality.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Assist staff, visitors, and contractors by providing directions and ensuring adherence to security policies.
• Professional Conduct: Represent the company with professionalism and maintain a well-groomed appearance.
