Job summary

The Best Connection Group Limited is recruiting Airport Security Officers for our client in Birmingham. Hours: 0700-1500 with 4 on 4 off shifts at location B37 7HE. You'll work in access control, screen items for boarding and perform document checks.

Regulated by the CAA. Requires willingness to obtain a Criminal Record Check, 5-year history/address checks, valid photo ID, and Aviation Security Training. Induction training provided and potential permanent placement after trial.

Qualifications

• Experience in security environments is desirable.
• Ability to follow strict procedures and checklists.

Responsibilities

• Monitor items due to go onboard aircrafts in access control areas.
• Search and check items to be boarded on aircraft.
• Complete document checks for items to be boarded on aircrafts.
• Answer security-related questions and assist in secure transportation.
• Work mainly in a food production environment.

Aviation Security Officers will also be responsible for the following:

• Working in the access control area, monitoring items due to go onboard aircrafts
• Searching and checking of items due to go onboard aircrafts
• Completing document checks for items due to go onboard aircrafts
• Answering security questions
• Help transport items securely
• Working mainly in a food production environment

Please note: Due to the nature of our business, we are regulated by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), therefore it is compulsory for all applicants to provide or be willing to obtain the following:

• Be willing to apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!)
• Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!)
• Be able to provide a full 5-year address history
• Have an in date and valid Photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc)
• Be willing to attend Aviation Security Training Courses
• Must have resided within the UK during the last 3 years and be willing to complete a Counter Terrorism Check (Paid for and obtained by us!)
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Benefits & Requirements:

• Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
• 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)

• Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
