Job description

Who are we looking for? We are seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to ensure a secure and safe environment for staff and visitors on site. Responsibilities include implementing access control procedures, conducting site inductions, patrols, and other duties as per Assignment Instructions. In emergencies, follow prescribed escalation and communication protocols with Site Management, colleagues, and emergency services.

The role involves working an average of 42 hours per week on a rotation of 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off. Day shifts include:

  • Maintaining surveillance through regular patrols and documentation.
  • Briefing visitors and contractors, managing sign-in/out procedures.
  • Recording deliveries and processing related paperwork.
  • Carrying out patrols to the required standards.
  • Managing alarm systems for out-of-hours security.
  • Following waste management procedures.
  • Completing logs, incident reports, and other documentation.
  • Familiarity with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and safety documents; advising on improvements.
  • Maintaining training records, especially for first aid and fire marshal training.
  • Applying SIA skills professionally, ensuring license visibility.
  • Performing ad hoc duties as directed.

Shift hours are 06:00 - 18:00 for day shifts and 18:00 - 06:00 for night shifts.
