MAN Commercial Protection Ltd. invites applications for a Security Officer to protect prestigious sites in Cambridge. The role offers a 5-day weekly pattern with rotating off days and agency support through IPSA, including membership and helplines.

You will patrol, monitor CCTV, handle incidents, and ensure safety procedures are followed, with site-specific duties described in assignment instructions.

Qualifications

• You must be able to work on your own initiative.
• Full 5-year checkable work/education history.
• You MUST hold a valid SIA DS.
• CCTV Licence Essential.
• Full uniform supplied.
• Access to in-house training (SIA and First Aid).
• Double pay on Bank Holidays.
• Free IPSA membership.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and secure environment for customers and employees.
• Carry out routine patrols and monitor premises via CCTV.
• Report incidents and assist our business partners as required.
• Greet visitors and ensure security procedures are followed.
• Write accurate incident reports promptly and provide visible security presence.
• Know security systems, including life safety systems.
• Deal with contractors (inductions).
• Respond to car park queries and site incidents or emergencies.
• Regular patrolling of premises; follow site assignment details.

MAN Commercial Protection now have an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer to join us working on prestigious sites in location in Cambridge.

Shift pattern: 5 days per week, Week 1: off Monday & Thursday. Week 2: off Tuesday & Wednesday

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, clean and secure environment for customers and employees.
• Carry out routine patrols, monitoring of premises via CCTV and conducting health and safety checks.
• Other tasks would include incident reporting, customer service and not just to the public but with our business partners as well.
• Greet visitors and ensure relevant security procedures are carried out
• Write accurate incident reports in a timely manner and provide visible high profile security presence.
• Knowledge of security systems, including life safety systems
• Dealing with contractors (including inductions)
• Respond to car park queries
• Respond to and deal with all site incidents and emergencies
• Regular patrolling of premise
• Full details of the duties will be contained within site assignment instructions.
