Job summary

MAN Commercial Protection Limited is seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our team at a site in Bury St Edmunds. The role runs Monday to Friday with shifts from 15:45 to 00:15, paying £13.95 per hour. You will greet visitors, handle incidents, and maintain a strong security presence on site.

Applicants must have a valid SIA DS or SG licence and a full 5-year verifiable work/education history. Full uniform and IPSA membership perks are included.

Qualifications

• Experience as a security officer or equivalent role.
• Ability to work on own initiative and maintain vigilance.
• Valid SIA DS or SG licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with members of the public and visitors.
• Greet visitors and ensure security procedures are followed.
• Accurately write incident reports and maintain high-visibility presence.
• Operate and understand security systems.
• Check alarms and log information.
• Respond to site incidents and emergencies.
• Patrol the premises and monitor for security risks.
• Liaise with contractors as needed.

• Dealing with members of the public
• Greet visitors an ensure relevant security procedures are carried out.
• Write accurate incident reports in a timely manner and provide visible high-profile security presence.
• Knowledge of security systems
• Check alarms and log information.
• Respond to and deal with all site incidents and emergencies.
• Patrolling of premises
• Dealing with contractors

The ideal candidate must have

• You must be able to work on your own initiative
• Full 5-year checkable work/education history
• You MUST hold a valid SIA DS or SG licence
