Job summary

Corps Security is seeking a highly reliable SIA licensed Security Officer for a Saturday shift in Belfast. You will manage access control, site inductions, and patrols, ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors. Follow escalation procedures with Site Management and emergency services as needed.

The role requires a valid SIA Front‑Line License (essential) and may include an optional SIA CCTV License. Strong communication, IT skills, and the ability to work to deadlines are crucial.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front‑Line License - essential.
• A valid SIA CCTV License - desirable.
• Confidence to establish and maintain relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel).
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance of the site with regular patrols and record activities as required.
• Ensure visitors and contractors are briefed, signed in/out.
• Record deliveries and process paperwork per site procedures.
• Ensure patrols are conducted to required standards.
• Set/unset alarm systems for out-of-hours security as applicable.
• Follow waste management procedures.
• Complete daily logs, handovers, incident records and site reports.
• Familiarise with Assignment Instructions, risk assessments and safety documents.
• Maintain training records and ensure first aid and fire marshal training is up to date.
• Apply SIA skills professionally and ensure licence is displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer in Belfast to work 9hrs every saturday to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff & visitors on this prestigious site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned & ad-hoc site patrols together with other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and the emergency services.

You will work - 9hrs every Saturday from 09:30-18:30.

What you will need:

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential
• A valid SIA CCTV License - desirable

What are you going to do:

• Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps and Customer requirements.
• Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site.
• Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures.
• To ensure that patrols are carried out and to the correct standards.
• Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out of hours security provision if applicable.
• Comply with site waste management procedures.
• Complete documents as required including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site-specific reports.
• Ensure you are familiar with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations to improve.
• Maintain your own training records via Corps Colleague Portal such that your skills remain up to date, and in particular your first aid and fire marshal training is in accordance with legislative guidelines.
• Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism. Your SIA licence must be always displayed.
• Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
