Job summary

B&M Retail is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to safeguard our Shipley store, protect people and products, and maintain a welcoming customer experience. This full-time, permanent role covers daytime, evening and weekend shifts.

You will monitor store activity, operate CCTV, support health and safety procedures, investigate stock loss, theft and fraud, and engage with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience in security is not essential but welcomed.
• Strong observation and reporting abilities are required.
• Able to follow procedures and stay composed in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor the store to identify, prevent and report incidents.
• Operate and review CCTV in line with company policies.
• Support the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures.

Are you a confident and professional Retail Security Officer? Do you enjoy safeguarding people, products, and store environments while delivering a welcoming customer experience?

Join our team in Shipley and make a real difference!

In this role, you’ll be trusted with responsibility and play a vital role in safeguarding the store. Working closely with the Store Management Team, you’ll help prevent loss, manage risk and maintain high standards of safety and professionalism.

This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being an integral part of the store team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Actively monitoring the store to identify, prevent and report incidents


• Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies


• Supporting the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures


• Conducting investigations into stock loss, theft and fraud


• Engaging with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively
