Job summary

Babcock at Rosyth is seeking a Security Manager to lead all physical security activities within a high‑profile defence and marine engineering environment. You will advise senior leaders, safeguard classified information and ensure compliance with government security requirements across the site.

As a trusted advisor, you will shape security policy, manage a security operations team and coordinate visitor management while aligning with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with Government security standards.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment with compliance requirements.
• Minimum five years in a security management or leadership role.
• Experience managing physical security operations, personnel or contracted services.
• Experience interpreting and implementing security policies in defence/government or similar regulated sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of physical security across the Rosyth site.
• Advise management on interpretation and implementation of security requirements for classified contracts.
• Manage systems and processes protecting classified documents, materials and sensitive information.
• Oversee the Security and Emergency Response Team to ensure effective security services.
• Coordinate visitor management and site-wide security activities while maintaining government standards compliance.
