About the Role:
As a CBRE Security Manager, you will oversee the team responsible for the security operations across UKI & EMEA for a Global account in the Financial & Professional Services sector.
This job is a part of the Security, Fire, Landscaping & Waste Management functional area which focuses on the physical security of an organization including all other physical security assets.
What You'll Do:
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Act as trusted partner and advisor to client RSDMs, and supporting cross regional alignment on Security best practice, strategy, risk mitigation and other operational deliverables.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Ongoing monitoring and analysis of data, and communication to stakeholders any risks and opportunities relating to monthly finance
- Ensure KPIs and SLAs are achieved, with particular focus on critical infrastructure and uptime.
- Interrogate performance metrics and use the data to manage effectively against the contract.
- Oversee the building operations involving visitor access and activities.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Act as the point of contact for ongoing communication with Building Services staff about site operations. Collaborate with department managers to determine security needs.
- Investigate, report, and maintain records of security-related incidents on the property. Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms.
- Prepare surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facility repairs in a timely manner.
- Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss. This includes providing training such as life safety systems, CPR, and first aid.
- Consult with human resources on issues related to security personnel.
- Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses. Gather security intelligence and implement preventative measures. Keep abreast of innovative technologies and advancements in security services.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience in Security. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Completed industry recognised security certification,.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
