Security Manager (Construction Sector)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Security Manager to manage a prestigious construction contract in central London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction security, and hold the following training qualifications: SSSTS Trained, CSCS Card holder, SIA Licence, FREC trained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of security personnel, ensuring effective coverage and adherence to security protocols.
  • Develop and implement site-specific security plans in line with project requirements.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of on-site security teams and contractors.
  • Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify and resolve vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed.
  • Manage access control systems, CCTV, perimeter fencing, and alarm systems.
  • Monitor incidents, investigate breaches, and maintain detailed reports.
  • Support HSE teams in promoting a culture of safety and vigilance on-site.
  • Advise project managers and site supervisors on security best practices.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises, ensuring a visible and proactive presence to deter potential security threats.
  • Respond swiftly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances, providing leadership and direction to staff.
  • Provide training and ongoing development for security personnel, ensuring compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents, reports, and activities, submitting them in a timely and detailed manner.
