About The Ned

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants designed for like-minded individuals to meet, work, and enjoy themselves.

Launched in 2017 in the historic Midland Bank headquarters in the City, The Ned City of London features Ned’s Club—a private members’ space, gym, and rooftop—alongside a public spa, event spaces, ten restaurants and bars, and 250 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting to the Head of Safety and Security, your responsibilities will include:
  1. Leading and managing the security team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  2. Overseeing daily operations to ensure the safety of members, guests, events, and high-profile functions.
  3. Representing the security team in the absence of the Head of Safety and Security.
  4. Developing and implementing security policies and procedures in line with industry and internal standards.
  5. Conducting security audits, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.
  6. Monitoring surveillance systems and security technology.
  7. Collaborating with hotel management, law enforcement, and emergency services.
  8. Investigating security incidents, preparing reports, and implementing corrective measures.
  9. Providing security awareness training to staff.
  10. Staying informed about security threats, best practices, and industry standards.

What qualities and experience should you bring?
  • Proven experience as a Security Manager or similar role in hospitality or 5-star hotels
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols, risk management, and crisis response
  • Excellent leadership skills to motivate and develop teams
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with teams and executives
  • Familiarity with security technology such as CCTV and access control systems
  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently
  • NEBOSH certification is preferred
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends, as part of a 24/7 security team
