  • Manage relationships with third‑party security providers and audits.

The Role

We’re currently recruiting a Security Manager within our Operations Department to help us take things to the next level.

Key responsibilities and targets
  • Day to day delegated responsibility for all aspects of the security service (physical/personnel and systems) across the Club’s campus on both match and non‑match days.
  • Responsible for assisting with the creation, implementation and regular review of the THFC security policy and procedures.
  • Required to ensure that both physical and technical (system) resources are appropriately and efficiently allocated to key locations and that these are regularly appraised as being ‘fit for purpose’ and ‘best in class’ in order to deliver a safe and secure experience for all staff, contractors and visitors at all times.
  • All physical security to all on site customers is delivered in line with either official THFC security policy or CPNI guidelines for best practice.
  • To support the development and implementation of the various Security Operations Manuals and Assignment Instructions used by all security personnel to cover duties, individual instructions for each position, attendance, use of security equipment, dress standards and training.
  • Required to ensure that all Security personnel understand and comply with their responsibilities for both security compliance and governance.
  • To assist in the management of any/all third‑party security service providers including ensuring that they deliver services in line with both contractual terms and specific THFC instructions including checks on recruitment, vetting and training standards
  • Assisting in the provision of regular security audits and evaluation and creation of event and/or task specific risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Required to be fully conversant with the various security management systems in place across the Club’s estate to troubleshoot, audit and train end users (where required) in their use and reporting functions.
  • Ensuring safe working practices are adopted and compliance with all relevant legislation
  • Represent the Club and/or Security department at both internal and/or external meetings as required/necessary.
  • Responsible for any carrying out detailed investigations – where necessary - involving either system or personnel failures in relation to the Club and its security including the preparation of appropriate reports and/or the hosting 1‑2‑1 meetings or similar with any/all individuals involved in such incidents.
  • Report any significant security breaches to the Head of Security and Stadium Director, undertake full investigations and recommend course of action
  • Responsible for incident management, during any security related incident or emergency
  • Ensure all business recovery/contingency plans and procedures held with the security control rooms are constantly reviewed and up to date
What you will bring
  • Qualified with recognised Security qualifications and experienced with a thorough understand of the Security industry
  • Experience of working at a high technical level within a complex Security environment
  • Project Management and Contract Management experience
  • Thorough understanding of statutory and legislative requirements
  • Good leadership skills
  • Highly experienced in managing Security contracts
  • Able to demonstrate delivering ‘best in class’ Security services to large footfall events and iconic buildings
  • Health and Safety trained to IOSH ‘Managing Safely’ level or higher
