Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior SOC Analyst (L2) to join a high-security, 24/7 London-based operation. You will lead advanced investigations, perform root-cause analysis, guide L1 analysts, and support containment and remediation efforts across a stringent security program.

Responsibilities include incident escalation, tuning detection rules, and driving playbook improvements as part of a high-density compute environments project in London.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3-5 years in SOC, Incident Response, or Threat Analysis roles.
  • Strong analytical mindset and knowledge of SIEM/EDR tools, malware behavior, and incident handling methodologies.

  • Investigate escalated security incidents to determine attack vectors, scope, root cause, and potential business impact.
  • Correlate events across multiple data sources to build a comprehensive incident narrative.
  • Execute containment, eradication, and recovery activities in coordination with IT/OT stakeholders.
  • Lead response for medium to high-severity incidents and document detailed investigation reports.
  • Conduct tuning of detection rules and thresholds in collaboration with the Security Content Engineer.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying gaps in detection coverage and playbooks.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to L1 Analysts.
  • Participate in periodic SOC exercises and simulated incident response drills.
  • Be part of 24/7 SOC Team, need to work in shifts

Job description

L2 SOC Senior Analyst

Location: London (24/7 operation)

Salary: Competitive salary and package dependent on experience

Please note: any offer of employment is subject to satisfactory BPSS and the candidate being granted a level of security clearance which typicallyrequires 10years continuous UK address history, usually including no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside of the UK, and a declaration of being a British passport holder with no dual nationalism at the point of application.

Role Description

As a Senior SOC Analyst (L2) you will provide advanced investigation and analysis, acting as the escalation point for complex or high-severity incidents. You will conduct root cause analysis, guide L1 analysts, and support incident containment and remediation efforts.

Accenture is partnering with leading UK AI compute pioneers to help drive the next generation of infrastructure. To support this endeavour, we are building a high-performance compute operations team in London.

Our work is highly sensitive, secure, and operates 24x7 on some of the most advanced high-density compute platforms available. Shift teams will provide continuous 24x7 coverage, and successful candidates participating in the shift rota will receive a shift allowance for non-standard and unsociable working hours.

Key Responsibilities

Essential skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in SOC, Incident Response, or Threat Analysis roles
  • Strong analytical mindset, in-depth knowledge of SIEM/EDR tools, malware behaviour, and incident handling methodologies.
Desirable skills:
  • Certifications (preferred): GCIA, GCIH, CompTIA CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, or Splunk Certified Power User.
