Security Installation & Maintenance Engineer

• Permanent role based in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire
• Salary: £34-42k depending on experience
• Hours: 40 hours/week plus on-call rota, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm
• On-call allowance: approximately £10 per day
• Company van and smartphone provided
• Overtime paid at 1.5x when required
• 25 days annual leave plus 3 days for company closure during Christmas and New Year
• Company sick pay after 3-6 month probation
• Training and support provided for all disciplines

Our client is an established security solutions provider serving government, commercial, and private clients. Located in Letchworth Garden City, they specialize in installation, repair, and maintenance of access control, door entry, CCTV, and intruder alarm systems.

We are seeking a Security Installation & Maintenance Engineer to support the growth of this family-oriented business. The role involves carrying out maintenance/service visits and system installations at various client sites, including local authorities, housing associations, universities, and commercial locations.

The candidate should be open to new tasks and challenges, with in-house training available. The role offers variety and dynamic work, with opportunities for career expansion. Due to the nature of the industry, successful applicants will undergo specialised vetting by Hertfordshire Constabulary.

Applicants must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes related to the company van. Experience in intruder alarms, access control, door entry, or CCTV is preferred but not essential, as training can be provided.
