Job summary

Stott and May is seeking a Security Infrastructure Engineer to support design, configuration, and maintenance of security tools across cloud and on‑premises infrastructure in a Defence-focused environment.

You will deploy security tools, assess environments, and help improve overall security maturity while engaging with client stakeholders and working on-site in Surrey with travel to client sites. Current UK SC clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and deploying security tooling in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of network design and configuration.
• Experience deploying containers and VMs in cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Linux administration skills including package management and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, configuration, and deployment of security tools.
• Specify infrastructure requirements for compute, storage, and network bandwidth.
• Assist cloud hosting, containers, and on‑prem VM and container deployments.
• Configure network security devices, routers, switches, VLANs, DNS, and identity management.
• Integrate security tools with identity management solutions.
• Develop test procedures to verify requirements and performance.
• Research new technologies and adapt to unfamiliar tools.
• Act as a technical SME across deployment and configuration activities.
• Engage with client stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly.
