PA Consulting’s Oakdoor division seeks software engineers with 2–5 years of experience to join a fast-growing team working on secure, cross-domain hardware and software solutions. You will contribute to cloud, embedded, and network security-focused products in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes modern C++, Rust, Python, and real-time Linux experiences, with opportunities for growth, learning, and involvement across product and customer-facing areas.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance.
• Degree education or equivalent experience in a relevant subject.
• Experience with Modern C++ and STL or Rust.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with bare metal, Linux and real-time OS.
• Cloud development experience.
• Knowledge or experience of network security.
• Desire to push for continuous improvement and quality software.
• Excellent communication and collaboration, including pair programming with TDD.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects with real-world impact in environments with security constraints.
• Improve existing products and help build next-generation offerings.
• Contribute to software development and agile practices.
• In a small team, collaborate with sales, customer support and other areas of the scale-up business.
