Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Officer to perform on-site patrols, enforce fire safety procedures, and monitor compliance with customer policies. The role requires vigilance, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple shifts.

Key duties include responding to safety incidents, documenting activities, and supporting the control room when needed. A pro-rata cover for 4 on/4 off rota is common, with a 48-hour weekly average.

Responsibilities

• Comply with security assignment instructions and SLAs to meet client and company requirements.
• Carry out security patrols and routine Fire patrols/checks.
• Ensure Fire procedures are implemented and monitored at all times.
• Book weighing and movement of vehicles on/off site.
• Record printed products leaving the site and manage mail/courier tasks.

Job Overview

• Compliance with security assignment instructions and SLA’s agreed in the contract to meet the requirements of the client and company
• Carry out security services patrols
• Carry out routine Fire patrols/checks
• To ensure that all Fire procedures are implemented and monitored at all times.
• Booking /weighing vehicles on & off site
• Recording of printed products leaving site
• Assist in compliance of all customer policies and procedures are adhered too
• To report immediately any misuse, damage or threat to the customers or OCS property & equipment
• Report any breach or unsafe practices in the workplace to Line Manager in accordance with the Company Health and Safety policy and procedures and with support from the Health and Safety Manager.
• To carry out control room duties as required
• Provide for fire checks, patrols and isolation fire panel when required
• Provide along with other security personnel mail/courier sort/collection/delivery service
• Adherence to company and site H & S policies
• Accurately and legibly complete all relevant documentation associated with all relevant tasks. All other reasonable requests to meet the needs of the business.
