Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior Security Engineer (Team Lead) to own a dedicated security engineering function within a highly regulated environment in Leeds. The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities in a hybrid model, with on-site presence in Leeds quarterly.

You will lead security engineers and analysts, act as escalation point for incidents, and drive improvements across detection, automation and security operations.

Qualifications

• Senior hands-on security engineering experience in a regulated environment.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team in security operations and incidents.
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft security stack, SIEM and SOAR tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of security engineers and analysts
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex incidents
• Own the configuration, optimisation and lifecycle management of security platforms
• Drive improvements across detection, automation and security operations
• Support SOC investigations, threat response and technical guidance
• Maintain engineering standards, documentation and security best practice
