Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Security Engineer to advance our digital security posture. Based at Knutsford or Glasgow, you will develop, implement and maintain security solutions safeguarding bank systems and sensitive data.

You will operate across DLP and security tooling, drive incidents to remediation, document rigorously, and collaborate with stakeholders and product vendors for enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience with SIEM and security analytics platforms.
• Strong Python development and DevSecOps experience.
• Experience with IaC, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage security systems and engineering patterns.
• Develop and maintain cryptographic protocols and data protection.
• Manage secrets securely and monitor for vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with developers and security teams to align cryptographic solutions.
• Lead or support security platform improvements and incident investigations.
