Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Security Engineer III - Cloud and Infrastructure to join the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls team.

You will design, implement, and maintain secure solutions for an enterprise environment, collaborating with systems, DevOps, and software teams to prevent misuse and protect critical assets. The role emphasizes production-grade code, IaC, automation, and advanced cloud security practices across Windows and Linux environments, with a strong focus on CI/CD and agile

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts with practical experience.
• Experience with cloud engineering, deployment/DevOps engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience deploying commercial software at scale into an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux systems internals.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Programming/scripting language for automation and integration tasks.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency in cloud technologies, especially AWS security.
• Analytical problem-solving mindset and ability to tackle complex challenges.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies (CI/CD, security, resiliency).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for an enterprise-scale environment.
• Understand systems engineering, integrations, and administration roles.
• Execute key deliverables in the security engineering space.
• Design and deploy production deployments with innovative approaches.
• Develop secure production code and review others' code.
• Implement complex business logic in Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Engage with third-party vendors and internal teams.
• Minimize security vulnerabilities following industry guidance and regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address security needs during vulnerabilities.
