Job summary

Baillie Gifford Group is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer to design, build and maintain security platforms across cloud, identity, and endpoints. You will develop automation, integrate with CI/CD, and support privileged access and secrets management while maturing our security posture.

• Experience in security engineering and architecture principles.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and security testing.
• Understanding of cloud security, Windows/Linux environments, and enterprise networking.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain security platforms and protective controls across cloud, endpoint and identity.
• Develop tooling and automation to reduce manual processes via APIs and scripting.
• Support identity security, privileged access and secrets management integrations.
• Embed security earlier in lifecycle with Core Platform teams and CI/CD workflows.
• Test and validate controls through configuration testing and attack simulations.
• Document security architectures and provide guidance to engineering teams.
